The Living Well Partnership brings together four well-established practices in Southampton, with seven sites, which have joined forces to create a super-partnership that can deliver exceptional clinical care. Our vision is simple: to enhance the health and improve the wellbeing of our 40,000 patients – and you will have a vital role to play as an Administrative Summariser.

You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing documentation regarding patient care from other healthcare providers electronically, via our clinical systems (Emis and Docman); identifying essential information, assigning corresponding clinical codes to patients’ records and directing required actions to the correct teams for completion.

Able to identify and assign actions to correspondence, you will direct information to the relevant clinicians and teams to ensure our patients receive brilliant care. Inbox management will be part of your daily task load; therefore a methodical and organised approach to managing your workload is essential.

Following Living Wells’ protocols and processes, you’ll be detail-orientated and able to work on your own initiative keeping up momentum. The team use a suite of policies and processes to guide them through their tasks, staying up to date with these processes will allow you to succeed in this role.

You’ll be working as part of the workflow team, alongside other experienced administrators, but you should be able to hit the ground running in this role. We’re looking for somebody who has previous experience working in coding and data entry, and it would be very advantageous for you to have strong medical terminology knowledge.

This is a permanent full-time role, full training is provided. Experience of working in the NHS, general practice or equivalent is a requirement; you should be completely comfortable working to speed of entry targets and summarising documents in order to code data.
