I have been a GP with Weston Lane and Harefield surgeries since 1986. A partner for 32 years, I retired in 2018, but have continued doing surgeries. It’s been a real privilege treating generations of families over that time.  General Practice has changed in 35 years – from 4 doctors, one nurse and a few receptionists in a house at Weston and converted shop at Harefield – but the priority for excellent patient-centred care remains.

An examiner for the Royal College of General Practitioners, I also assess doctors for their GP qualification.  I enjoy running, walking and skiing as well as being a trustee of a charity running projects for deprived communities in Africa.
