Administrative Queries

Most referrals require an appointment with a clinician here at LWP first. You can generate an appointment by completing an eConsult, explaining your symptoms or concerns and stating clearly that you would like a referral.

There are lots of conditions that can be investigated and treated in general practice, and bearing in mind it may take two to three months to be seen routinely by a consultant it may be much faster for your symptoms to be diagnosed and managed by your GP.

Where a referral is necessary we are very happy to arrange this for you, to the hospital of your choice.

If you are chasing an outstanding referral you can contact the hospital directly to enquire about this. Unfortunately UHS can take some time to process GP referrals so please do be patient.
