Fit to Fly / Travel Documentation

We recommend you seek advice from your airline and airport to make sure you know exactly what you need to travel. Don’t leave it to the last minute!

We do not provide fit to fly covid testing or letters stating you are fit to fly. You will need to seek a private consultation from a private provider for this.

If you need proof that your medication is an NHS prescription there are a number of ways you can do this:

  • Show your NHS App medication screen at the airport.
  • Log into the NHS App (desktop or smartphone) and print off your medication list before you fly.
  • Use the print out of your medication provided by your pharmacy when you collect your medication.
  • Ask for a print out of your prescription, or patient summary print out from the surgery. Please note we do not currently charge for this service but may do so in the future.
  • Ask for a personalised, stamped letter listing your medication. There is a charge for this service.

You must collect all paperwork yourself, unless we have written consent authorising a next of kin. ID may be required.
