With a large catchment area and seven different practice sites, our reach is extensive and if you live in the East Southampton/Hampshire borders region you are likely to find a local practice to suit you. As a traditional practice, owned and run by our GP Partners, we have additional services and an extensive wealth of experience and skills within our team of 30 doctors including Partners and Non-Principal GPs.
Access to community health care has never been easier with an online eConsult form always available, and receptionists on the phone within office hours. Every eConsult is reviewed by a senior GP and directed to the most appropriate clinician to resolve your query. eConsults submitted before 2.30pm receive a response same day. Our unique dynamic questions help you to navigate the complex NHS system to help you get the best care from us.
The partnership is a training hub for doctors and clinicians at all stages of their clinical career, with over a dozen learners at LWP at any one time, and is home to a wide variety of new clinical roles. We have an 11-strong in-house Medicines Team led by four fully qualified Pharmacists, we also have Social Prescribers, and Care Coordinators dedicated to our Care Home patients, and also our Palliative patients. And we have more exciting new roles planned for the future.
We recognise that for some patients online access can be a challenge. We have dedicated reception staff that can help patients over the phone to complete an eConsult for them. This ensures all patients can get the same excellent level of care even if they don’t have online access. We can respond to eConsults by telephone, text message, email, or video call (depending on patient preference), and will always see our patients face to face whenever clinically appropriate and necessary, this has been the case throughout the pandemic.
