I am a General Practitioner, member of the RCGP and RACGP.

I studied medicine in Germany after national service and a nursing degree. During my studies, I worked in research and co-authored several papers. After graduation in 2003 from Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, I came to the United Kingdom for postgraduate training and became a GP in 2008.

Since qualifying, I have worked in rural areas on the Isle of Arran in Scotland and in Cumbria, provided primary care, pre-hospital, acute and unscheduled care in and out of hours. I began teaching registrars and medical students in 2013 and worked as a GP and medical educator for the University of Melbourne’s Rural Clinical School in Shepparton, Australia.

After working in General Practice in South-Western Germany for three years, I returned to the UK in 2022 to develop a portfolio career in General Practice.
